MSAU Chapters & Structure

Regional coordination and school-level Muslim Students Associations

MSAU Regions

MSAU operates through five Regional Executive Councils (RECs) that coordinate District Executive Councils (DECs) and school-level Muslim Students Associations (MSAs) across Uganda.

Central Region

Includes Kampala, Wakiso and surrounding districts with high Muslim student populations

Eastern Region

Covers eastern Uganda districts, coordinating DECs and school MSAs

Northern Region

Covers Gulu and Lira districts with adapted structures for local school networks

West Nile Region

West Nile region including Arua with strong Muslim populations and active DECs

Western Region

Western Uganda region coordinating Muslim student activities

Muslim Students Associations (MSAs)

MSAs can be established at all educational levels. Each MSA should have a patron (preferably a staff member) and register as a full member of MSAU through their District Executive Council.

Primary MSA

Foundation level Islamic education and character building

Secondary MSA

Academic support, leadership training, and university preparation

Tertiary MSA

Professional development and community engagement

University MSA

Advanced leadership, research, and alumni networks
